Weapon Coronas#

Warning

This mod is now outdated, although I still keep it here for archival purposes. If you want weapon coronas, I suggest using this mod instead.

What is it?#

Rockstar decided to remove the coronas from dropped weapons when San Andreas came around, it was a nice feature in III/VC that gave the game atmosphere. This mod adds coronas to weapons similar to III/VC, although not perfect, I think it suits the game and looks pretty good.

v1.0.0 (18/02/2014)

  • Initial release.
  • Added coronas to all weapon models.

v1.1.0 (04/05/2014)

  • Removed unnecessary 2DFX flags from all weapon models.
  • Updated the corona effect so it flashes instead of flickers.
  • Updated the corona shadow on all weapon models so it's now more intense.

Download and Installation#

  • Step 1: Download the latest version of the mod from your preferred source.

  • Step 2: Open the mod archive you downloaded and move the "Weapon Coronas vX.Y.Z" folder from the archive into your "modloader" folder.

Known Issues#

  • Sun flares may be replaced by the weapon coronas. Installing SilentPatch fixes this.
